AmFlood can meet all of your flood insurance needs, for both residential or commercial buildings. We provide the following types of flood insurance:
National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP)
Congress created the NFIP to provide a nationwide flood insurance program, which uses flood zone maps for underwriting NFIP flood policies. Many insurance companies issue NFIP policies, all using the same government mandated premium rates and policy terms.
The NFIP policies are: (Maximum coverage = $250,000)
Standard NFIP Policy - available for properties located in the high risk 100 year flood zones, called Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA), which are A and V zones
Preferred Risk NFIP Policy - for properties located in non-SFHAs (B, C and X zones). It uses the same insurance policy as the Standard NFIP policy, but the premium rates are much lower.
Supplemental Flood Insurance
Excess Flood Policy - provides extra coverage for high value properties which are already carrying the maximum available coverages under the NFIP program. Flood coverage can be written up to $2,000,000 per property. Coverage provisions under the policy form are the same as the Standard NFIP policy.
