Flood EDI-Modem Setup
Step 1: Configuring Your
Computer to Transmit Data
- Open
your Contour Software Loan Handler.
- Open a
borrower file (Can be any file).
- Click
on the telephone icon on the tool bar, opening the EDI menu.
- At the
top of the EDI Menu click on "Settings".
- Then
click on "Modem Finder" (Your Loan Handler will begin searching for your modem).
- When
the search is complete click once in the square labeled Default. (A picture of a telephone
should appear)
- Then
click on the button labeled "Properties", this will take you into the Modem
Set-Up screen.
- Click
on the tab labeled Modem, select Hayes Smartmodem 9600 V.32 (US Robotics modems only
– choose USR Sportster 14.4).
- Click
on the tab labeled Port and change the speed to 19200.
- Then
click OK, and OK again at the Modem Finder screen.
- On the
main EDI menu click on the button labeled "Modem Comunications".
- Highlight
"Send Borrower Files", then click OK.
- Then
when the Select Borrower screen opens click on the button labeled "Target Dir".
- Set the
target directory path to C:\Handler, then click OK.
- Then
click OK again on the Select Borrower screen.
Step Two: Ordering a Flood Certificate:
- Select
the Borrower File that you need to order a Determination for.
- Click
on the Telephone Icon on the toolbar
- Click
on the Flood Certificate icon in the EDI menu.
- Click
Other Vendors (the opening screen is for Internet requests only)
- Select
America's Flood - Flood Determinations.
- Click
on process now.
- Click
yes, when it asks you to process all highlighted files now.
